High-functioning autistic number-cruncher (and crack assassin) Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) works as a shadily effective auditor for some of the world's nastiest criminal gangs. His latest job is to find where millions of dollars leached from an apparently above-board robotics company has gone after a junior employee (Anna Kendrick) spotted the leak. However, Treasury Department agent Ray King (JK Simmons) is beginning to close in and Wolff discovers his latest job comes with a very high body count. Director Gavin O'Connor capably balances the books between action and intrigue.
