The Pitt

About this series

Multi-award-winning breakthrough series from the producers of ER, following the ups and downs endured by the medical staff in an underfunded Pittsburgh hospital. Each episode of a season follows one hour in a 15 hour-long ER shift, bringing you along for the ride. Tensions build as the team at The Pitt juggle personal crises, workplace politics, and the emotional toll of treating critically ill patients. And when a massive disaster sends floods of victims into the already overcrowded ER, the team are forced to make some harrowing decisions. Be warned that it’s very graphic, with lots of injury detail. Series lead (and former ER star) Noah Wyle won a Golden Globe and an Emmy for his role as Dr. Michael Robinavitch, and the series itself has won several awards, including the Golden Globe and the Emmy for Best Television Drama Series. It’s also been praised by the medical community for its gritty realism.
